Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
Operations and Maintenance Across 1.6 Million Square Feet
EGS provides complete facilities services for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) campuses in Washington, DC and Arlington, VA. Encompassing 1,638,842 gross square feet, our responsibilities include facilities management, O&M, EMS systems, landscaping, snow removal, janitorial, elevators, pest control, and interior construction.
In all our work at FDIC, we’ve helped successfully deliver cost savings by implementing proven energy efficiency measures. In fact, we were instrumental in the FDIC’s Virginia campus becoming LEED Silver certified in 2011.
We also support the FDIC’s National Data Center, which stores important records for 13,500 banks examined by the FDIC. We help ensure energy systems run without interruption and HVAC systems deliver precise climate conditions, so these vital records stay protected.
Federal Bureau of Investigation
The FBI’s Trusted Facilities Solutions Provider
EGS has multiple contracts with the FBI, including the Building Operations Center (BOC), their Academy in Quantico, VA, and HVAC service for the J. Edgar Hoover Building. Our operation at the BOC acts as a central service hub for FBI campuses around the region, providing a 24/7 call center for service requests, room reservations, parking passes, and facility emergencies for the Hoover Building and its sister location in Quantico, as well as 26 smaller satellite sites.
The HVAC contract at the Hoover Building is for O&M and repair of all mechanical equipment and generators within the 2.4 million square foot building. We also perform reimbursable Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) projects, striving to bring quality and efficiency to every job, no matter the task.
